PIGEONHOLE PRESENTS LOMOVEMBER: Promoting Lomographic talent for a good cause
The world sees a return to experimental analogue photography with Lomography. Using old-school Lomo cameras and canisters of film, Lomography brings the old art of film photography back- with a modern twist. With famed cameras with quirky names such as 'Holga' and 'Diana', Lomo is fast becoming a cult classic in today's society.
Pigeonhole presents a weekend of Lomography on the 2nd of November at One40William, displaying a collection of images sent in by the people, all available for purchase through silent auction. Joining forces with Open House Perth, our event will be held on the 2nd, and Open House on the 3-4th of November as they open the doors to some of Perth city's most celebrated architectural feats. An initiative that was founded in London in 1992, Open House now takes place in many of the world's most exciting cities, including New York, Barcelona, Melbourne and now Perth. With over 50 buildings, design studios and city destinations opening their doors for free, you don't want to miss out on all the excitement.
Being held in November, we will also be working with Movember in fundraising to help in raising awareness for men's health issues. In detail Lomovember kicks off with a launch party on 2nd November, showcasing 100 of the best Lomography submissions in Perth. The prints will also be sold via silent auction.
A series of Lomography workshops will also be held over the weekend for Lomo lovers. These workshops will cater to the absolute beginner wanting to learn the tricks of the trade, as well as seasoned Lomographers hoping to pick up new tips and skills.
Lomovember will be a great chance for the Lomo community in Perth to mingle, swap tips, and show off their work! All in all, an exciting way to kick off Movember. Lomo cameras and products are available at all Pigeonhole stores.
